Rebecca & Chris : Beaumanor Hall Wedding Photography

Today I worked with Chris and Rebecca for their wedding at Beaumanor Hall, Leicestershire. This was my first visit to Beaumanor Hall, and I was thrilled to be working a new venue. Beaumanor Hall itself is was built during the 19th century, and was privately owned. It played an an important role during the war, but since then it has been transformed into a wedding venue, whilst retaining its period features. The lawns and gardens are perfectly landscaped, and provide an idyllic background and sense of grandeur.

Rebecca travelled to the venue in a purple morris minor! Very cute. We then had a beautiful service, and being canine lovers they even invited Perry, their dog, who played an imporant role as ring bearer! He had been attending agility courses so was perfect for the role! Who says you have to leave the dog at home!?? All of Rebecca’s friends know she is an excellent chef, and this was apparent when guests sat down as she had made shortbread biscuits in the shape of butterflies with guests’ names on, and used these as place settings. A delicious meal (thanks Becky!) was followed by some entertaining speeches, and some signature bridal portraits on the lawn before the light faded. The gardens were so lush and green, this provided a wonderful contrast to the wedding dress and grooms suit! Just because it’s overcast, it doesn’t mean the portrait session should be dull!
